Boston One Day Introduction to Decision Explorer

London | Boston

Decision Explorer

This workshop gives a thorough overview of Decision Explorer. It will begin by outlining the basis of cognitive mapping using as an example a project that has already been mapped. This will be followed by a mapping exercise on paper where participants will apply the principles of cognitive mapping. This map will be used on the hands-on sessions on concept entry, linking and display styles. We will also cover how to build, explore and analyse models.

The cost for the day is $325 (academic/ public sector discount rate) or $415 (commercial rate) per person. This includes workshop materials, morning and afternoon tea/coffee refreshments but not accommodation. Each participant will receive a course pack, which includes a workshop handbook. The workshop will take place at the John Hancock Conference Center (off Copley Square in Boston's Back Bay). If you need accommodation, you will have to arrange that separately. [This workshop is a 'bring your own laptop' workshop. If you do not have a laptop, please indicate this on your application form. An additional charge will be made for the provision of a computer.]

"Silvana's training was very useful for me. It wasn't just the information and practice with the software, equally important to me was her breadth of knowledge about qualitative research in all its shapes and forms. She provided multiple examples from hands-on experience that helped me to understand the software and its capacity in a more thoughtful way."
